Project: Commercial Heating at Colwyn Bay KTM

The guys at KTM may be specialised in all things motorcycles, but when it came to the heater breaking at their shop in Colwyn Bay, they called in the commercial heating professionals at Jigsaw FM; probably a wise decision, as I don’t think one of their KTM PowerParts would have fixed this problem!

Last week, Jigsaw FM’s heating engineers paid a visit to the team at Colwyn Bay KTM, after they reported a noisy heater, that was understandably becoming a nuisance to the staff whilst on the phone to customers.

What We Did

When we arrived, we noticed straight away that the heater was incorrectly sized for the room it was installed in, and they weren’t exaggerating, it was very noisy! It was clear that the heater needed replacing and so, we proposed a new (correctly sized) Powrmatic space heater to replace the old noisy one.

The new heating system was installed, using the existing controller and flue system, and since this has been fitted it has minimised the noise disruption, and also reduced the heating cost for the KTM shop.

The feedback we have received from the customer is that the new heater has far out-performed the old one and is much quieter, so they can actually speak to people on the phone again! They were so happy with the work carried out by the Jigsaw FM team that they have expressed interest in having another fitted, in their workshop – so, we must be doing something right!
